Summary

This position is located in the Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) Business Center (BC), Chief Financial Operations Office, Budget Division, Staffing Resources Section. The incumbent performs a variety of budget analysis assignments of moderate to complex difficulty requiring thorough knowledge of budget principles, theories, and concepts, with responsibility for supporting budget formulation and execution activities for assigned FPAC agency program accounts.

Duties

Supports budget formulation activities for assigned FPAC agency program accounts across the federal budget cycle.

Contributes to the development of accurate and defensible budget estimates aligned with agency priorities and statutory requirements

Tracks and reports on expenditures related to payroll, FTEs, and operating costs for assigned accounts.

Prepares standard budget reports, data compilations, and routine analyses on budgetary information for assigned FPAC program accounts.

Develops accurate, defensible budget estimates and supporting documentation aligned with agency priorities and statutory requirements.

Oversees execution of appropriated funds for assigned FPAC Agency program accounts, ensuring compliance with fiscal and statutory requirements throughout the fiscal year.

Analyzes and interprets OMB Circular A-11, appropriations language, Congressional report language and USDA guidance as applied to assigned accounts.

Requirements

You must be a US Citizen or US National. Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
