This position is located in Government Integrated Print Services, Government Publishing Office in Washington, District of Columbia.

Duties

Serves as the enterprise technical authority for designing, developing, and implementing user interface frameworks using Blazor, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and custom UI control libraries.

Designs, governs, and maintains enterprise UI architectures, including component libraries, design systems, style frameworks, and interaction patterns to ensure consistency, scalability, maintainability, and reuse across applications.

Designs UI and agentic AI features using .NET to improve XML markup and GPO style compliance. Integrates AI with heuristic validation, including XML Schema/Schematron rules, and connects web clients to REST-based AI models.

Develops, interprets, and enforces UI standards, architectural guidelines, and accessibility practices to ensure compliance with Section 508, WCAG, agency accessibility policies, and usability principles.

Leads integration of UI frameworks with back-end systems and services, including C#, REST APIs, and application interoperability, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing client-server interactions.

Education

This position has an education requirement. You MUST provide transcripts to support your educational claims. Basic Education Requirement:You must have completed a bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science that included 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours of coursework in any combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science, with at least half of those hours in mathematics and statistics courses that included differential and integral calculus; and that provided an in-depth knowledge of theoretical and practical applications of computer science, including digital computer system architecture and system software organization, the representation and transformation of information structures, and the theoretical models for such representations and transformations. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof that the educational credentials have been deemed at least equivalent to those earned in a conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
