Duties
If selected at the GS-09 or GS-10 level, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity.
Reviews DLA Installation Management Susquehanna designed projects for constructability and suggest improvements which result in savings or improved efficiency.
Approves contractor's construction schedules and quality control procedures.
Observes and investigates construction at all stages to identify problems, such as unauthorized deviations from approved plans and specifications.
Takes timely action to change designs or recommend changes to designer to solve problems such as unusual foundation conditions.
Suggests and advises on the acceptability of alternative constructions methods.
Monitors contract construction operations at one or more work sites possibly involving more than one contractor depending upon the size and scope of projects assigned.
Documents contract compliance and keeps an organized record of communication with contractors.
