Summary
The primary purpose of this position is: to perform non-professional technical work in accomplishing limited design, scientific analysis, measurement, and tests in the evaluation of airborne weapon systems and electronic, electro-mechanical, or electro-optical systems. Duties
Designs, fabricates, installs, checks and maintains specialized instrumentation systems to measure and record test parameters in a variety of environmental, field, or laboratory conditions. Leads with overall responsibility for planning, conducting, analyzing results, preparing test/technical reports and physical security of equipment, electronic systems, devices, and techniques in support rescue programs. Provides technical oversight to verify that aircraft instrumentation requirements have been accurately defined for all scheduled test missions being supported. Personally performs and leads supporting technicians in the proper pre- and/or post-mission installation, calibration, and functional status checks of uniquely mounted airborne instrumentation systems in HC-130 P/N/J.
