Summary
This position is located in the Nuclear Exercise & Evaluation Division (NE-NSE) and will serve as Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technical Exchange Coordinator for the US European Command (USEUCOM) area of responsibility (AOR). The incumbent provides expert EOD support knowledge to Combatant Commanders and Services and other government agencies in EOD technical exchange planning, evaluation, testing, studies and crisis support for US nuclear weapons emergency response.
Duties
As a EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DISPOSAL (EOD) TECHNICAL SPECIALIST at the GS-0301-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: 1. Plan and execute specialized EOD technical exchanges between US forces, DoW response forces, interagency elements, and international partners. 2. Provide specialized technical support and management for national and international nuclear weapons incident management exercises and training activities and supporting events. 3. Manage and coordinate complex, multi-site training activities encompassing Seminars, Table Top Exercises, Command Post Exercises, and full-scale Field Training Exercises. 4. Provide detailed analysis of US Government positions, and engage in complex, diplomatic negotiations with international partners to forge executable solutions and bilateral plans. 5. Lead Integrated Planning Teams (IPTs) composed of operators, planners, and contractors, as well as develope comprehensive unilateral, bilateral, and multilateral After Action Reviews (AARs).
Education
You must be a graduate of Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and have at least ten years experience in the EOD field. (with this application, provide certifications, transcripts and resume reflecting required experience)
