Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the STRL Mission Support Direct Hire Authority. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Duties
You will develop policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.
You will conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs.
You will promote awareness of security issues among management and ensuring sound security principles are reflected in organizations’ visions and goals.
You will be responsible for the management of complex projects, and initiatives with large scope and meeting tight deadlines.
You will serve as a team leader who works with team members to successfully complete specific tasks, produce work products and services, and meet program objectives.
You will be responsible for supporting team’s success by mentoring and guiding the team members in a highly technical field.
Education
In lieu of experience, the following education is qualifying for the DS-04: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. For consideration you must provide transcripts with application. Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications (https://www.ed.gov/). Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
