Summary

You will serve as an INTEGRATED PREVENTION COORDINATOR in the FLEET IMPROVEMENT OFFICE of NAVAL INFORMATION FORCES.

Duties

You will serve as the Integrated Prevention Coordinator (IPC) and will be the recognized authority in overseeing the strategic direction of prevention efforts in the assigned area of responsibility.

You will streamline the development and delivery of primary prevention programs, including occupational health, social and organizational psychology, public health, other behavioral and social science perspectives in prevention planning.

You will manage large-scale organizational health and prevention programs to promote healthy command climates.

You will ensure effective delivery of prevention programs to promote healthy command climates, and fosters individual, team, and unit performance.

You will foster programs to prevent suicide, sexual harassment, sexual assault, substance misuse, family and interpersonal violence, workplace violence, disparate equal opportunity treatment, and related destructive behaviors.

You will provide tools and technical assistance to prevention professionals and leaders at the tactical level.

You will advise leaders regarding interpretation of culture and climate assessments, identification of prevention program goals, objectives, and measures of performance and effectiveness.

You will identify existing and potential risk factors that could lead to problematic and/or destructive behaviors and recommend preventative measures.

You will develop and tracks metrics to measure primary prevention activities and impact, and brief leadership on program effectiveness.

You will deliver primary prevention training and education at various locations, including shipboard or waterfront environments, to build and sustain prevention capacity and capability,

Education

Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess: Basic Requirements Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
