Summary
This position is located in the Department of War Office of the Inspector General (DoW OIG), Deputy Inspector General for Administrative Investigations (DIG-AI). The incumbent serves as a senior investigator within the Directorate of the Investigations of Senior Officials (ISO).
Duties
Conducts high visibility and complex investigations of top management officials of the Department of War and conducts special assignments.
Evaluates and determines investigative issues and scope from written documents and from preliminary inquiries to determine whether issues have merit and whether more formal investigation is appropriate.
Plans for all aspects of investigation using broad range of techniques such as interviewing, gathering and evaluating electronic evidence, and analyzing other relevant documents and information.
Reviews facts and evidence, and applies laws, rules, regulations, and policies to formulate accurate and supportable conclusions and recommendations.
Drafts and finalizes written investigative products reflecting highest standards of accuracy, thoroughness, and quality.
Education
Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.
