Summary
You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the Advanced Radars Systems Division, Electromagnetic & Sensor Systems Department of NSWCDD This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13/14. The salary range shown represents all positions within the band including GS-14 equivalent (high grade) positions. This is not a high grade position; the salary may be limited to GS-13 Step 10 (currently $158,322)
Duties
You will serve as Cyber Security consultant to branch/division leadership, providing counsel on risk management, compliance and the integration of advanced security solutions to support mission-critical Research and Development/operational objectives
You will serve as a key security advisor, translating command-level strategic objectives and technical thrusts into actionable, resilient, and cutting-edge security architectures.
You will work within the Enhanced Security computing environment to provide protection of computer systems, networks, and data from unauthorized access, disclosure, disruption, modification, copying, or destruction while minimizing risk to data loss.
You will develop and implement a System Security Plan (SSP) and support documentation for each system outlining the responsibility, oversight, and approved controls for organic systems (standalone and network).
You will conduct regular self-inspections and create a Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) to correct deficiencies of assigned systems.
You will assist with troubleshooting, maintaining, upgrading, configuring, and assuring the reliable operation of Information Systems, software, and infrastructure.
You will ensure that performance, resources, integrity of data, and security of the computing and network infrastructure are compliant while meeting the needs of the users.
