The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as a senior Information Technology (IT) Specialist serving in an operational capacity, performs assignments designed to orient the employee in the area of Network Warfare Operations (NW Ops) to identify and analyze threats to USAF and DoD personnel, interests, and resources worldwide.
Duties
DUTY 1: Manages the base LAN/WAN systems, designs and monitors new complex network systems, configures and installs network hardware/software, and maintains LAN Operations. DUTY 2: Keeps abreast of emerging technology to predict future network needs. Works with technical support personnel in resolving problems in fields of rapidly changing technology. DUTY 3: As a senior IT specialist, participates in management discussions, meetings, committees, or special projects. DUTY 4: Prepares Information Operations (IO) related finished technical/intelligence analysis reports and provides focused IO related analytical support to NW Ops. DUTY 5: Assists in the direction, coordination, review and evaluation of NW Ops related technical/intelligence activities within 26 OSS and coordinates those activities with Group, Wing, MAJCOM, 24AF, USAF, DoD and national-level agencies.
