Summary
About the Position: Serves as an Information Technology Specialist for the Information Management and Support Division (IM&SD) of the Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM), Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC).
Duties
Implements and ensures compliance with plans, policies, guidance, procedures, standards, infrastructures, and/or architectures that establish the framework for the management of all IT programs in the organization.
Participates in the organization's IT capital planning and budget formulation process by defining, coordinating, and relaying customer hardware, software, and services requirements.
Provides periodic updates to the Team Leader, IM and SD Management, TACOM ILSC Leadership, and higher headquarters, and other agencies regarding business process initiatives.
Serves as an Information Technology procurement specialist and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for the ILSC to procure commercial information technology hardware, software, and services.
Responsible for developing acquisition requirements and strategy to include Statements of Work (SOW) and/or Performance Work Statements (PWS) and soliciting market research from Army mandatory IT sources.
Implements, coordinates and/or maintains programs, policies, and procedures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems, networks, and data in an organization.
Consults with customers to refine functional requirements and translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
Provides technical guidance and direction for analysis, evaluation, planning, coordination, and development of data, information, policies, regulations, procedures and requirements for assigned programs.
