Summary

About the Position: Serves as a Maintenance Control Specialist at a multipurpose water resource project(s) that includes, navigational locks and dams, maintenance crews, flood control structures, pump stations, levees, visitor centers, natural resources and recreation facilities, and various infrastructure elements at several locations.

Duties

Uses knowledge of equipment and facilities to monitor and document preventative maintenance and work order repairs.

Utilizes the Facilities Equipment Maintenance (FEM) System to enter data and compile periodic program reports.

Develops maintenance tracking logs and works with Project Manager, Operations Manager and Program Analyst to prepare budget estimates for major maintenance or repairs.

Conducts periodic inventories of equipment and parts to ensure facility operability.

Coordinates with project team members for data related to all maintenance activities.

Utilizes the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS) to perform administrative duties including time and attendance, processing travel vouchers, training requests, purchase requests, and other administrative duties.

Serves as the primary timekeeper for the project.

Performs duties of Government Purchase Card (GPC) Holder; ensures budget funds are available, receives appropriate approvals prior to purchases, and settles GPC account monthly.

Serves as a project Collateral Duty Safety Officer (CDSO) working closely with the project personnel and District Safety Office to implement the Corps of Engineers Safety Occupational Health Management System (CE-SOHMS).
