Summary

You will serve as a PERSONNEL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Security Branch Norfolk (N0211), Security Division (N021), Office of Chief of Staff (N02) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

Duties

You will carry out a variety of personnel security assignments such as reading and researching security manuals, instructions and directives, assisting personnel security specialist and attends security trainings.

You will be responsible for the clearance of applicants and employees for entry or retention in employment, and the clearance of employees or other persons for access to classified material.

You will advise on personnel security recommendations for cases involving derogatory information, conflicting or inconclusive information.

You will implement procedures and guidelines for MSC in assigned areas of responsibility concerned with protection of personnel security interests.

You will assist the Personnel Security Manager in administering the Command’s Personnel Security Program.

Education
