Summary

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a PROGRAM MANAGER (AIR COMMANDER PILOT), Position Description Number PDD0338P01 and is part of the WY 153d Airlift Wing, Wyoming Air National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.

Duties

This position is in the 153d Airlift Wing, Wyoming Air National Guard and as the Wing Commander, its purpose is to provide leadership and management of the C-130 flying unit(s), that provide worldwide theater airlift for U.S. military in preparation to perform the wartime mission and humanitarian operations, including airdrop and aeromedical evacuations, in support of the Air Force Mobility Command. Additionally, the Wing is tasked with responding to state and federal disasters to assist with relief programs, and it employs the Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System (MAFFS) to combat wildfires when activated by the National Forest Service, and provides mobile, survivable, and endurable command, control, communications, and intelligence (C4I) capabilities supporting the Air Force Global Strike Command. 1. Directly and through deputy commanders, incumbent determines unit goals which are the foundation for long- and short-range planning and execution of all unit programs and provides a focus for all unit functions and activities. 2. Responsible for the availability of mission capable aircraft to meet unit flying program and alert/contingency requirements. Monitors adequacy of maintenance and repair actions/procedures and components. 3. Ensures manpower authorizations, grades, and specialties are adequate for the mission. Maintains military and full-time strength through recruiting and retention programs. Ensures Equal Employment Opportunity Program is effective. Requirements

KEY REQUIREMENTS: Open to current active-duty Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard members. Must submit vMPF Rip, DVR, or CDB with resume Must become a military member of the Wyoming Air Nat'l Guard before appt. Federal employment suitability is determined by a background investigation. Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and TAG approval. PCS costs are not authorized. Must be willing to relocate at own expense if selected. EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance. 2. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. 3. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. 5.
