Summary
You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the CAPABILITY DEVELOPMENT BRANCH within the NAVAL SURFACE AND MINE WARFIGHTING DEVELOPMENT CENTER of NSMWDC DET DAHLGREN.
Duties
You will support the development of capabilities for Surface Ship Defense System (SSDS) equipped ships, initial development of Fleet Tactics and doctrine, and provide technical support for projects aimed at improving warfighting capability.
You will serve as the organizational lead responsible for exploring concepts of operation, force generation, force posture, sustainment and integration of future force platforms and capabilities.
You will research, develop, and apply concepts for achieving advantage at sea to improve current and future warfighting capabilities for the surface force in order to close lethality gaps in maritime warfare.
You will develop work plans, set priorities, identify development test efforts, and coordinate support for critical development efforts requiring direct input.
You will be responsible for providing well researched position papers and briefings that provide recommendations to develop and execute a comprehensive surface force plan.
You will track and align efforts in surface force testing, experimentation, concept development and tactics, techniques and procedures validation.
You will coordinate the integration of warfighting requirements based on current and projected fleet needs, and direction from fleet leadership.
