Summary

Duties

You will provide non-clinical, trauma-informed crisis intervention, safety planning, and risk screening for adult victims of sexual assault while maintaining strict confidentiality and safeguarding sensitive CUI and PII.

You will guide victims through Restricted and Unrestricted reporting options, assist with DD Form 2910 documentation, and prepare the Commander Recommendation package within 24 hours of Unrestricted reports.

You will coordinate warm hand-offs and tailored referrals to military and civilian medical, mental health, and legal resources (including SVC/VLC) utilizing a "No Wrong Door" approach.

You will manage case files, develop detailed case management plans, and collaborate with Case Management Groups and High-Risk Response Teams to mitigate risks and support victim self-determination.

You will assist the SARC with community outreach, SAPR training logistics, stakeholder coordination, and local public awareness campaigns, including Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month events.

Education

Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required specialized experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: GS-11 Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position OR Successful completion of 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree. OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. GS-09 Successful completion of a a master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position OR Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree. OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
