Duties
The successful candidate will perform the full range of Senior Financial Management Specialist (TL) duties. Such duties include but are not limited to: The incumbent serves as the Team Leader for the Travel Operations Team reporting to the comptroller in the Division of Comptroller (DOC), OCFO, and is responsible for the coordination and execution of certain travel operations and financial activities for the agency. Responsible for formulating and executing policies, standards, and procedures for travel operations, and related fiscal services and reporting requirements. Responsible for interagency customer outreach and support. Typical assignments include: assisting in the formulation, review and improvement of policy, procedures and practices for NRC in conforming with Treasury, GSA, GAO and other procedures and practices; and interpreting their impact on the travel operations of NRC; reviewing and approving travel transactions; reconciling accounts; preparing reports; reviewing, analyzing and resolving various financial management related matters; leading and rendering assistance to the staff on travel related matters; and participating in reviews and special assignments designed to improve internal controls and operating procedures.
