Duties
1. Supports Student Life Cycle Processes. Supports admissions mission by tracking and entering student quota data and academic specialty codes utilizing Air Force Education Requirements Board (AFERB), Air University Registrar Education Program Management (AUREPM) and in coordination with HQ AFPC. 2. Oversees and performs several administrative functions within the Student Operations Area: Responsible for publishing and maintaining the content of AFIT's official student handbook. The handbook is updated at a minimum annually and provides students with critical reference information on numerous subjects. 3. Plans, organizes, and oversees graduation ceremonies. Plans, directs, and conducts awards and graduation ceremonies. 4. Assists the Instructor of Ethical Writing with the management of the thesis and dissertation process (Thesis Processing Center). This position will work closely with the Instructor of Ethical Writing accepting documentation, tracking student progress through the student data system, and coordinating deadlines with departments and students to ensure that graduating students meet and are eligible for conferral. 5. Provides management advice and assistance to the Registrar and Director of Student Operations regarding resources, budget development and execution, and information technology integration and support to effectively meet current and long-range goals and objectives.
