Summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN as the ASSISTANT CHIEF ENGINEER in the WATERFRONT SUPPORT BRANCH, ENGINEERING AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. ***TEMPORARY PROMOTION NOT TO EXCEED 1 YEAR AND MAY BECOME PERMANENT without further competition***
Duties
You will provide authoritative guidance, direction and leadership to staff and to the higher commands.
You will direct and coordinate the establishment of new policies, instructions, and procedures for the analysis, progress, and control of Division work.
You will determine training requirements for subordinate employees.
You will ensure compliance with shipyard cost control procedures and for the accuracy of charging practices within the Division.
