About the position: You will serve as a Supervisory Architect and Architecture Section Chief within the Engineering Division of the Europe District of the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Duties

Responsible for the creative design and technical review of architectural features of multi-million dollar projects for US Army, US Air Force, NATO and other federal government agencies.

Lead the creative design and technical projects for construction in Germany and other European NATO countries.

Serve as the architectural technical expert, consultant and advisor to the District for the application of US and Host Nation criteria, codes and standards in the design and construction of complex military facilities.

Perform detailed and final quality control technical review of in-house design products and those prepared by companies, consultants, or Host Nation design agencies.

Represent his/her Section’s disciplines at review conferences, perform site investigations, and visit construction in progress to provide guidance and assistance.

Perform the full range of supervisory personnel management responsibilities.

Assist Project Managers in preparing Schedules of Services and Scopes of Work for designs to be accomplished directly by Architect-Engineer contract or indirectly by Host Nation design agencies.
