Operating as a senior technical authority, the incumbent provides authoritative expertise across assigned Space Staff programs, identifies systemic operating problems, resolves conflicting priorities, and shapes strategic communications, high-level staff papers, and executive products to govern the executive battle rhythm and support senior leader decision-making. Requiring exceptional communication skills, sharp interpersonal judgment, adaptability, and the discretion to handle sensitive information, the successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, meet special-sensitive position requirements, and operate effectively under travel and unscheduled overtime demands. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: In-depth understanding of strategic planning processes, including the ability to align organizational goals with strategic initiatives. Leadership skills to oversee and guide team activities, manage projects, and provide direction to staff. Effective problem-solving skills to address issues, find solutions, and implement changes as needed. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Ability to adapt to changing situations, handle unexpected challenges, and remain flexible in achieving objectives.
