Duties
Enforces guidance and implements policies in the areas of energy conservation, oversees utility supply contracts, and proactively seeks new technologies and processes to optimize daily electrical operations. Coordinates all preventative maintenance and repair functions of the Engineering Division related to and including the planning, direction, evaluation, control, operation and maintenance for infrastructure systems including HVAC, electrical and mechanical. Assists with preparing and maintaining an ongoing five to seven-year plan for facility maintenance, repair, modification, and modernization requirements. Practical knowledge of the methods and techniques of engineering or architecture and the construction, application, properties, operations, and limitations of engineering systems, processes, structures, machinery, devices, and materials. Understanding electrical and mechanical systems for data centers, office buildings, and records storage facilities. Formulating and presenting findings, briefings, project papers, status reports, and correspondence to foster understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations. This is a Bargaining Unit Position.
